National Team Soccer Jerseys: USMNT, USWNT and Beyond
One shirt. Lots of history. Roots everywhere.
A soccer jersey is not just fan gear. It is a statement about who you follow and why. This guide covers the current USMNT and USWNT home and away kits, the real difference between authentic and replica, and the national team jerseys American fans wear most.
A soccer jersey starts a conversation that a plain tee never will.
What national team is that? Where did you get it? Why that country?
In 2026 the World Cup came back to American soil for the first time since 1994. 48 nations played in stadiums across the country, the most in the tournament’s history. A lot of American fans picked a team that summer. Plenty of them kept it.

Where do American fans buy soccer jerseys?
Most fans buy online. Fanatics carries the current US kits and jerseys for most national teams. Every jersey comes in two versions, authentic and replica, which differ in fit, fabric, and price. Both are explained below.
First Question: Authentic or Replica?
There are two versions of the same jersey.
The replica is built for the stands. Looser cut, standard fabric, made to wear over a layer on a cold night. For most fans this is the right buy.
The authentic matches what the players wear on the field. Tighter fit, engineered fabric, heat sealed details. When you hold both versions the difference is real. You are paying for the exact match jersey.
If you are watching from the stands or your soccer cave, the replica does the job. If you collect seriously, the authentic is worth the jump.
USMNT Jerseys: Home and Away
Nike released the current USMNT home and away kits in 2026, the year the United States hosted the World Cup. They are the shirts the team wore on home soil in front of the biggest crowds a US national team has ever played for.
They will stay the current kits until Nike releases the next set, so this is still the shirt to own.
How the 2026 Jerseys were Designed
The 2022 jerseys were not well received. Players said they did not feel represented.
So Nike started over. Beginning in 2023 they ran a three year design process called DIG (Discover, Ideate, Go) that included workshops and listening sessions with USMNT players. Tyler Adams, Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie and others had direct input on everything from fabric weight to seam placement.
Adams later told The Athletic: “We literally picked everything. I feel like we had more say than Nike had in it, to be honest with you.”
The brief was simple. Stars and stripes, because that is the US. The home got the stripes. The away got the stars. For the first time both jerseys share a bespoke font that ties the two together as a set. The stripes jersey uses a stars font for the name and number. The stars jersey uses a stripes font.
Nike also added a hidden detail inside each jersey. An inner pride logo meant to represent each player’s personal reason for wearing the crest.
The Home Jersey
Red and white stripes wave across the chest like the American flag caught in the wind. Navy collar and sleeves finish it off. In a packed supporter section when the anthem starts, this is the one you want to be wearing.
The Away Jersey
Clean, sharp, and built for big moments. All navy with dark stars covering the whole shirt. Subtle until you look close, then you see the stars everywhere. One of the sharper away jerseys the national team has worn.
USMNT Player Jerseys
Fanatics carries player versions with names and numbers. Look for McKennie, Adams, Freeman, Tillman, Reyna, Balogun, Pulisic, and others.
Other National Team Jerseys
A lot of fans have a jersey story that has nothing to do with where they were born or where they live now.
A Brazilian supporter who moved to Chicago twenty years ago.
A Mexican family that drove up from Guadalajara for the group stage.
An English fan who flew in for one match and stayed for three.
A new American who has followed Argentina their whole life and finally watched them play close to home.
The jersey you wear tells that story. Whatever yours is, Fanatics carries jerseys for most national teams.
Here are some of the most popular jerseys
Mexico
BuyThe rivalry with the USMNT is the most charged in American soccer. El Tri fans have packed American stadiums for decades, and the green jersey shows up at every match they play here.
Canada
BuyRed, white, and the maple leaf. A program that has grown fast over the last decade, with a young core and a fan base that finally has a team to match its passion.
Spain

England
BuyThe white home jersey has one of the biggest followings in American soccer bars. A lot of fans here learned the game watching the Premier League, and England is where that loyalty lands.
Argentina
BuyLight blue and white stripes, and the shirt most tied to Lionel Messi. Argentina's 2022 title in Qatar turned a lot of casual American fans into lifelong ones.
Germany
BuyBlack, red, and gold. Germany has a collector following among American fans that goes back to Jürgen Klinsmann, the former Germany star who coached the USMNT.
France
BuyLes Bleus have been one of the most consistent sides of the last 25 years, and the deep blue jersey is one of the cleanest kits in the game.
USWNT National Team Jerseys
For the first time in federation history, every U.S. national team wears the same kits. The USWNT took the field in the stripes and stars design in April 2026, the same shirts the men wore that summer.
That makes it easy. The home stripes and away stars jerseys described above are the current USWNT kits too, cut for the women’s team.
The USWNT’s next big stage is Brazil in 2027. If Nike releases a new set before then, this page will cover it.
The Home Jersey
White with interconnected blue stars across the whole shirt. Clean, and different from anything the program has worn before. It honors the four stars above the crest without leaning on nostalgia.
The Away Jersey
Deep navy with bold red and blue vertical pinstripes. It works as well outside the stadium as inside it.
USWNT Player Jerseys
Fanatics carries player versions with names and numbers. Girma, Rodman, Swanson, and Lavelle are all available
