Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL)

The WPSL is the longest-running women’s soccer league in North America, with nearly 200 teams across two divisions in 40 states. It has developed some of the biggest names in the women’s game and continues to grow heading into its 28th season.
The WPSL is the longest-running active women’s soccer league in North America, entering its 28th season in 2026. Founded in 1998 with six teams, it has grown to nearly 200 clubs across two divisions in 40 states. Sanctioned by the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) as a Tier 1 league and affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation.
The league is amateur, featuring collegiate and post-collegiate players. Alumni include Brandi Chastain, Alex Morgan, and Megan Rapinoe. The league operates across four regions divided into 16 conferences, with alignment set each January at the Annual General Meeting.
